The UNC Dance Marathon would like to thank you for your interest in the possibility of becoming a corporate sponsor!

Corporate sponsorship for the 2008 Marathon brings with it the unique opportunity for your company to reach thousands of students and community members.  You will have the chance to show your commitment not only to our community but to the lives of children suffering from serious illness.

Annually, more than 72,000 children from all 100 North Carolina counties are treated at the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.  While it is the only state supported pediatric facility in North Carolina and no patient is refused care, the funding from the state covers only 10% of the hospital’s costs.  More children come to the N.C. Children’s Hospital for surgery than anywhere else in the state.

This is why the value of your corporate sponsorship to the 2008 Marathon is so important!  As we are a non-profit organization, all donations are fully tax-deductible and go straight to our For the Kids Fund.  This is a unique fund set up to allow families and patients at the hospital to benefit directly from the proceeds raised.

The For the Kids Fund helps families cover costs not associated with insurance or Medicaid that they may not otherwise be able to afford, so that they can focus more on their children and less on the financial stresses of expensive hospital bills.

The UNC Dance Marathon is the most widely publicized campus event; therefore, your company will receive extensive publicity in return for its sponsorship.  More than 750 student dancers, 300 spectators, and 500 volunteers participated in the 2006 Marathon.

It’s not too late for you to pledge a corporate sponsorship for the 2008 UNC Dance Marathon!  Come join us as we continue to grow as a celebrated Carolina tradition, dedicated to improving the quality of life for the children and families of the N.C. Children’s Hospital.
